Problem with a MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER 2.0 L Di-D 2008 103k

Lack of power and excessive black smoke.

The fault was cured by adding Forté Diesel Turbo Cleaner and Forté Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment into the fuel tank and carrying out an extended road test.

After 20 miles the smoke stopped and the power and performance was restored.

Problem with a NISSAN QASHQAI 1.5 L DCi 2012 48k

EML on due to a DPF fault and vehicle unable to run due to excessively blocked DPF. Fault code stored P047B exhaust gas pressure sensor range/performance. The fault was caused by a broken pipe between the intercooler and throttle valve preventing regeneration.

The fault was cured by replacing the pipe and removing the DPF to manually clean using Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an oil and filter change and adding Forté DPF Cleaner & Regenerator into the fuel tank. The DPF was then regenerated and reset using diagnostic equipment and taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Lack of power due to engine running in limp mode, engine management and DPF warning light on. Oil level checked and over maximum due to fuel dilution, suspect DPF heavily blocked.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF to manually clean using Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, cleaning the intake system with Forté Diesel Intake Cleaner as per instructions and carrying out an extended Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner & Regenerator into the fuel tank.

The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Lack of power due to engine running in limp mode, engine management and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) warning light on.

Diagnostic check carried out showing 72% soot loading in the DPF and fault codes stored P242F DPF restriction due to ash accumulation, P2279 inlet air system leakage, P0380 glow plug heater circuit.

The fault was cured by replacing a split vacuum pipe and removing the DPF to manually clean using Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank.

The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored with no further fault codes stored.

Problem with a VAUXHALL CORSA 1.2 16v 2005 40k

Engine misfire when driven and fault codes stored for multiple cylinder misfires. Various components checked and replaced spark plugs, air flow meter, timing chain kit and EGR valve. Fault not cured and misfire still present. After further investigation the fault was caused by the carbon canister under the O/S/F wing being full of water and the fuel contaminated with water.

The fault was cured by replacing the carbon canister, fuel filter and draining and replacing the contaminated fuel in the fuel tank.

Due to the misfire fault it is also recommended to use Forté Advanced Formula Gas Treatment and Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush to remove contamination from the oil and fuel system.

Excessive noise from hydraulic valve lifters and timing chain noisy. Suspect fault due to heavily contaminated oil from lack of servicing.

Excessive hydrocarbon emissions at 300 ppm, excessive blue smoke and misfire. Suspect fault due to sticking valves and oil burning.

The fault was cured by using Forté Clean & Protect, extended Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush carried out adding Forté Oil System Protector to the new oil and Forté Advanced Formula Gas Treatment to the fuel tank. The vehicle was then given a 20 mile road test, the misfire and smoking had stopped and the emissions were rechecked showing the hydrocarbons at 20 ppm. The owner also reported a week later that the vehicle had never driven so well.

After treatment a 6 mile road test was carried out and the vehicle performance was restored.

New EGR valve was fitted at Toyota dealer but fault still present.

The fault was cured by cleaning the intake system with Forté Diesel Intake Cleaner as per instructions. Forté Clean and Protect carried out and Forté's  Diesel Turbo Cleaner and Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment were added into the fuel tank.

After a week the owner reported the fault was cured and vehicle performance was restored.

Technician discovered excessive knocking noise on top end of engine. The vehicle had not been serviced for 30,000 miles. Customer contemplated scrapping the vehicle.

Problem with a VAUXHALL CORSA 1.2L 2002 74K

Top end noisy due to hydraulic valve lifters and failing MOT emissions test. ( CO 5.45%, HC 351, Lambda 0.852).

The fault was cured by using Forté's Clean & Protect, a 45 minute Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush adding Forté Oil System Protector to the new oil.

The engine was then run at 2,500 rpm adding half a bottle of Forté Specialist Injector Cleaner directly into the inlet manifold slowly drawn into the engine via a vacuum connection and adding the remaining Specialist Injector Cleaner and an additional bottle to the fuel tank.

The vehicle was taken on an extended road test. The emission re-test passed; CO 0.003%, HC 68, Lambda 1.004 and top end noise cured.

Problem with a PEUGEOT 206 1.4L Petrol 2007

Oil leak from oilway on the corner of the head gasket. This is a common fault on this engine which normally requires replacement of the head gasket. The fault was cured by adding 2 x Forté Seal Conditioner into the engine oil and allowing 100-200 miles for the product to rejuvenate rubber oil seals.

One week later the customer reported that the leak had been cured.

The fault was cured by carrying out a 1 hour Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Top End Treatment to the new oil.

Problem with a PEUGEOT 208 1.4L HDi 2012 30k

Vehicle going into limp mode and engine management light on. Fault code stored for turbo boost condition. Suspect fault due to sticking variable vanes on turbo.

The fault was cured by cleaning the intake system with Forté Diesel I.M.V. Cleaner as per instructions, Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush carried out and Forté's Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment and Diesel Turbo Cleaner added into the fuel tank.

After treatment the vehicle was taken on an extended road test, and the vehicle performance was restored.

Problem with a SKODA OCTAVIA 1.9L TDi 2004 91k

Lack of power and engine management light on, fault code stored P0234 turbo overboost condition.

Suspect fault due to sticking variable vanes on turbo.

The fault was cured by cleaning the intake system with Forté Diesel I.M.V. Cleaner as per instructions, extended Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush carried out and Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté Diesel Turbo Cleaner added into the fuel tank.

After treatment the vehicle was taken on an extended road test, and the vehicle performance was restored.

Problem with a TOYOTA COROLLA 2.0L D4-D 2008 155k

Very poor starting, slight misfire from cold and excessive smoke until engine gets hot. The fault was cured by adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner into the fuel tank and carrying out an extended road test.

The customer returned two days later stating the car was now starting as normal with no smoking and the misfire had gone and that he could not believe it!
