Problem with a VW GOLF 1.8L TURBO 2002 150k

Lack of power, poor idle and engine will not rev up.

The fault was cured by cleaning the intake system with Forté Petrol I.M.V. Cleaner as per instructions, Forté Clean & Protect carried out and Forté Advanced Formula Gas Treatment added to the fuel tank.

After treatment the vehicle was taken on an extended road test and the vehicle idle and performance was restored.

Problem with a VAUXHALL CORSA 1.2L 2006 52k

Intermittent poor running and misfire, fault codes stored P0300 random / multiple cylinder misfire, P0302, P0303, P0304 cylinders 2, 3, 4 misfire. New plugs and coil pack fitted fault not cured, suspect fault due to sticking valves.

The fault was cured by cleaning the intake system with Forté Petrol I.M.V. Cleaner as per instructions, Forté's Clean & Protect carried out and Forté Advanced Formula Gas Treatment added to the fuel tank.

The owner reported after 150-200 miles the fault was cured and vehicle performance restored.

Problem with a VAUXHALL ASTRA 1.9 CDTi 2007 106k

Lack of power on acceleration.

The fault was cured by removing and cleaning the EGR valve with Forté Air Intake Cleaner and cleaning the intake system with Forté Diesel I.M.V. Cleaner as per instructions. Forté's Clean & Protect service was carried out and Forté Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment added to the fuel tank.

After treatment a 6 mile road test was carried out and the vehicle performance was restored.

Problem with TOYOTA HIACE 2.5L D-4D 2008 94k

Lack of power and engine management light on in a TOYOTA HIACE 2.5L D-4D 2008 94k, fault code stored P0400 EGR system flow malfunction. New EGR valve fitted at Toyota dealers, fault still present.

The fault was cured by cleaning the intake system with Forté Diesel I.M.V. Cleaner as per instructions, Forté Clean & Protect carried out and Forté Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment added to the fuel tank and a 50 mile road test was carried out.

After treatment the fault code cleared and the vehicle performance was restored.

Problem with a FORD MONDEO 2.0L TDCi 2007 173k

Lack of power on acceleration, going into limp mode and management light on, fault code stored for turbo boost actuator. No fault found with boost actuator when checked, the turbo was also checked with a camera scope showing carbon build-up on turbo vanes.

The fault was cured by cleaning the intake system with Forté Diesel I.M.V. Cleaner as per instructions, Forté Clean & Protect service carried out and Forté's Diesel Turbo Cleaner and Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment were added into the fuel tank.
After a week the owner reported the fault was cured and vehicle performance was restored.

Lack of power and erratic idle found in a PEUGEOT 308 1.6. After further inspection it was found that the fault was caused by excessive carbon build-up on the valves.

Problem with a FORD FIESTA 1.3L 1997 50k

Poor starting, misfire and top end noise for a few minutes when starting from cold. Vehicle used as a courtesy car. Suspect fault due to sticking valves. After further investigation and removal of the rocker cover, it was found that the valves were sticking open and not locating the rocker arms in the push rods.

The fault was cured by cleaning the intake system with Forté Petrol I.M.V. Cleaner as per instructions, extended Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush carried out and Forté Advanced Formula Gas Treatment added to the fuel tank. After treatment the vehicle was taken on an extended road test.

Problem with FIAT PANDA 1.3 CDTi 2005 50K

Vehicle used for short stop/start journeys. Fault code stored for turbo and P0106 Map sensor / barometric sensor range performance. Map sensor replaced and Forté Diesel Turbo Cleaner and Forté Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment added to the fuel tank. The inlet system was cleaned with Forté Diesel I.M.V. Cleaner and Forté Clean & Protect carried out. After treatment the fault was cured and vehicle performance restored.

Poor running at idle and emissions readings checked indicated an air leak. No air leaks found, suspect fault due to sticking valves. Problem with a Chevrolet Lacetti 1.6l 16V 2006 9K

Lack of power and misfire, management light on fault code stored for cylinder misfire, suspect fault due to sticking valves.

The fault was cured by carrying out a 45 minute Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush, adding Forté Top End Treatment to the new oil and Forté Advanced Formula Gas Treatment to the fuel tank.

The customer reported that after a few days the misfire had stopped and the car had never run so smoothly.

Problem with a PEUGEOT 106 1999

Noisy fuel pump. The fault was cured by adding Forté Specialist Injector Cleaner to the fuel tank and
carrying out a road test.

Failing emissions test on idle CO 0.9% HC 250, catalytic converter, oxygen sensor, EGR valve
replaced and valve timing checked. Road test carried out and fault still present. The fault was caused by a faulty EVAP unit.
EVAP unit replaced and Forté Specialist Injector Cleaner added to clean the fuel system.
Emissions restored and vehicle passed.

Oil cooler failure prior to a complete engine change; engine and oil cooler replaced. Oil residue in cooling system. The vehicle was then run at fast idle for 20 minutes at operating temperature and taken for a 20 mile road test. The cooling system was drained and refilled with fresh coolant. The customer reported a week later that they were happy, vehicle had never run so well and the oil residue had gone.

Oil cooler replaced 12 months ago due to failure, customer complained of oil residue still present in header tank. The fault was cured by adding 5 bottles of Forté Bio Degreaser into the cooling system with a cooling system capacity of 60-70 litres. The vehicle was then run at fast idle for 20 minutes at operating temperature and taken for a 20 mile road test. The cooling system was drained and refilled with fresh coolant. The customer reported 3 weeks later that they were happy with the results and the header tank was clean.

Problem with PLAXTON-BODIED COACH 2011

Oil residue in the coolant, even after numerous attempts of flushing the system subsequent to an oil cooler failure. The fault was cured by adding 7 bottles of Forté Bio Degreaser into the cooling system with an estimated cooling system capacity of 70 litres. The vehicle was then run at fast idle. After cleaning, the cooling system was drained and refilled with fresh coolant. The customer reports the vehicle is running fine with no problems or overheating and all coolant is running clear.

Lack of power; fault due to a blocked Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).

The fault was cured by removing the DPF and pouring 2 x Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment into the DPF, soaking overnight then rinsing with hot water and drying with compressed air. The vehicle was then treated with Diesel I.M.V. Cleaner as per instructions, Clean & Protect carried out and DPF Cleaner & Regenerator and Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment added into the fuel tank. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test to allow regeneration of the particulate filter.

Problem with a VW POLO 1.4L 16v 2000

VW POLO 1.4L 16v 2000

Failing MOT emissions test due to high CO and low lambda readings. Coolant temperature sensor and oxygen sensor before catalytic convertor replaced; fault not cured with the emissions test still showing high CO and low lambda readings.

The fault was caused by a faulty EVAP canister purge valve. After fitting a new EVAP purge
valve, the emissions readings were restored and emissions re-test passed. It is also recommended to use Clean & Protect (Advanced Formula Motor Flush and Oil System Protector) to clean and maintain the oil system and add Advanced Formula Gas Treatment to the fuel tank to clean and lubricate the fuel system.

Lack of power when under load, no fault codes stored. After switching the engine off and restarting, the power was restored until the fault reoccurred. Suspect fault due to sticking variable vanes on turbo.

The fault was cured by adding Diesel Turbo Cleaner and Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment into the fuel tank. The car was then taken on an extended road test and has been running fine since.
