misfire. Suspect fault due to sticking valves and oil burning.
The fault
was cured by using Forté Clean & Protect, extended Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush carried out adding Forté Oil System Protector to the new oil and
Forté Advanced Formula Gas Treatment to the fuel tank. The vehicle was then
given a 20 mile road test, the misfire and smoking had stopped and the
emissions were rechecked showing the hydrocarbons at 20 ppm. The owner
also reported a week later that the vehicle had never driven so well.

Problem with a TOYOTA AVENSIS 2.0L VVTi 2005 80k
Lumpy running/vibration from engine on idle and when driven. No faults
found or fault codes stored.
Suspect fault due to sticking variable valve timing.
The fault was cured by adding Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush and flushing the engine for 3 hours and adding Forté Top End Treatment to the new oil.

Problem with a BMW X3 2.0d 2006 60K
Rough running, poor starting and misfire when cold. New injectors fitted at BMW dealers costing £2500, fault not cured. Dealer advised vehicle requires the engine replacing. Customer was advised to get a second opinion at another garage.
The fault was cured by adding Forté Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment with Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner into the fuel tank, adding Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush and carrying out a 50 mile road test and replacing the oil & filter. The customer also reported the vehicle’s performance was restored.

Excessive oil burning one litre every six weeks, suspect fault due to bore lacquering and sticking piston rings.
