Problem with a FORD TRANSIT 2.2 L TDCi 2011 65k

EML on and lack of power due to engine running in limp mode, fault code stored for DPF blockage, unable to carry out regeneration of DPF due to excessive soot loading.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF and manually cleaning with 2 x Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank.

The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Problem with an AUDI A3 1.8 L Petrol Turbo 2001 174k

Oil light flashing on and off when driven under load, suspect fault due to oil contamination build-up in the sump and on the oil pick up pipe.

The fault was cured by carrying out an one hour Forté New Generation Engine Flush. The owner also reported after 1,000 miles that the oil light had not come on.

Problem with a MERCEDES C220 2.2 L CDi 2011 96k

EML on and fault code stored for a DPF fault, DPF blockage due to faulty DPF pressure sensor.

The fault was cured by replacing the DPF pressure sensor, removing the DPF and manually cleaning with Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment and Forté  DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Problem with a BMW X3 2.0 L TD 2005 121k

No power over 30 mph and EML on, fault codes stored for faulty glow plugs, throttle body and DPF blockage, new DPF only fitted the month previously.

The fault was cured by replacing the glow plugs and throttle body, removing the inlet manifold/swirl flaps and manually cleaning with Forté Diesel Intake Cleaner. The DPF was then removed and manually cleaned with Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

EML on and fault code stored for a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) fault, suspect DPF blocked due to short stop/start driving.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF and manually cleaning with Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank. Problem with a VW GOLF 2.0 L TDi 2013

 EML on and fault code stored for a DPF fault, unable to carry out DPF regeneration. DPF checked on diagnostic machine showing filter blockage 58%.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF and manually cleaning with 2 x Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté Advanced FormulaMotor Flush adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner & Regenerator into the fuel tank. After cleaning the DPF was regenerated and the filter reading was rechecked showed the filter blockage at 4%.

Problem with a VAUXHALL ZAFIRA 1.9 L CDTi 2009 119k

EML on and fault code stored for a DPF fault, engine will only run on idle, suspect fault due to excessively blocked DPF. After further investigation, the DPF was removed and the engine power was restored.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF and manually cleaning with 2 x Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner & Regenerator into the fuel tank. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.
