Problem with a MAZDA 6 2.0d 2008 155k

Lack of power due to engine running in limp mode and diesel particulate filter (DPF) warning light on.

Fault code stored for DPF blockage, unable to carry out regeneration of DPF due to soot loading.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF to manually clean using 2 x Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank.

The DPF was then regenerated and reset using diagnostic equipment and taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Problem with a SAAB 9-3 1.9 L CDTi 2004 150k

Lack of power and engine management light (EML) on due to blocked diesel particulate filter (DPF), fault caused by a faulty EGR valve preventing regeneration of DPF.

The fault was cured by fitting a new EGR valve and removing the DPF to manually clean using 2 x Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Problem with a VAUXHALL VECTRA 3.0 L V6 CDTi 2005 170k

Lack of power and EML on due to blocked Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Fault code stored for DPF pressure.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF and manually cleaning with Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush, adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank.
The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Problem with a BMW X3 2.0d 2007 83k

Lack of power and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) warning light on. Fault caused by restricted exhaust gas flow due to DPF blockage. After further investigation the oil was also checked which was thick and heavily contaminated.

The fault was cured by replacing the DPF pressure sensor, adding 2 x Forté New Generation Engine Flush, carrying out an extended flush and adding 2 x Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner, 2 x Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the tank. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Problem with an AUDI TT 2.0L TFSi 2007 71k

Excessive oil burning 1 litre every 6 weeks, suspect fault due to bore lacquering and sticking piston rings.

The fault was cured by using Forté Clean & Protect, 1 hour Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush carried out adding Forté OilSystem Protector to the new oil and Forté Advanced Formula Gas Treatment to the fuel tank and carrying out an extended road test.

Problem with a BMW X3 2.0d 2006 60k

Rough running, poor starting and misfire when cold.
New injectors fitted at BMW dealers costing £2,500, but fault was not cured.

Dealer advised vehicle required the engine replacing. Customer advised to get a second opinion at another garage.

The fault was cured by adding Forté Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment with Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner into the fuel tank, adding Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush and carrying out a 50 mile road test and replacing the oil & filter.

The customer also reported the vehicle’s performance was restored.

Problem with a FORD MONDEO 2.0L TDCi 2006 103k

Loss of power and engine going into limp mode, engine management light coming on and glow plug light flashing. Fault code stored P123A turbo actuator fault.

After further investigation the turbo actuator was disconnected revealing that the turbo vanes were sticking due to carbon build-up.

The fault was cured by applying Forté Diesel Intake Cleaner into the intake system as per instructions, adding Forté Diesel Specialist InjectorCleaner and Forté Diesel Turbo Cleaner into the fuel tank and carrying out an extended road test.
