Problem with a VAUXHALL ZAFIRA 1.9 L CDTi 2006 104k

Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) fault and vehicle unable to run due to an excessively blocked DPF.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF to manually clean using 2 x Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner & Regenerator into the fuel tank. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Excessive engine smoke when pulling away after engine running at idle.

The fault was cured by carrying out an extended Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush and adding Forté Seal Conditioner to the new oil.

Problem with a FORD FOCUS 1.6 L TDCi 2007 120k

EML on and fault codes stored for a DPF fault, suspect DPF blocked.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF and manually cleaning with Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Lack of power due to engine running in limp mode, engine management and Diesel Particulate Filter  (DPF) warning light on. Fault code stored for DPF blockage, unable to carry out regeneration of DPF due to soot loading.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF to manually clean using Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank.

The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Problem with a VAUXHALL ASTRA 1.9L CDTi 2006 120k

Lack of power due to engine running in limp mode, engine management and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) warning light on.

Diagnostic check carried out showing 72% soot loading in the DPF and fault codes stored P242F DPF restriction due to ash accumulation, P2279 inlet air system leakage, P0380 glow plug heater circuit.

The fault was cured by replacing a split vacuum pipe and removing the DPF to manually clean using Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank.

The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored with no further fault codes stored.

Problem with a SAAB 9-3 1.9 TiD 2007 134k

Lack of power due to engine running in limp mode, engine management and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) warning light on. Suspect DPF heavily blocked.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF to manually clean using Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush adding Forté Oil System Protector into the new oil and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank.

The DPF was then regenerated and reset using diagnostic equipment, showing 0% soot loading and taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Diesel particulate filter (DPF) warning light on, fault code stored P2002. DPF efficiency was below the threshold. Unable to carry out regeneration of DPF due to soot loading.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF to manually clean using Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank.

The DPF was then regenerated and reset using diagnostic equipment and taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.
