Problem with a HYUNDAI ATOZ 1999 52k

Automatic transmission not changing out of first gear when cold, suspect fault due to contamination build-up in transmission.

The fault was cured by adding Forté Automatic Transmission Treatment and carrying out an extended road test.

Problem with a AUDI TT 3.2 L V6 QUATTRO 2003 83k

Poor running and noisy timing chain, fault codes stored P0011 inlet camshaft timing solenoid 1 timing over advanced, P0014 exhaust camshaft timing solenoid 1 timing over advanced.

Suspect fault due to oil contamination preventing the correct operation of the variable valve timing.

The fault was cured by using Forté Clean & Protect carrying out a 1 hour Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush and adding Forté Oil System Protector to the new oil.

Problem with a BMW MINI COOPER 1.6 D 2009 41k

Engine cutting out and excessive black smoke, EML on fault code stored 407E EGR fault.

After further investigation, the EGR valve, EGR pipe and inlet manifold were removed and found to be heavily blocked with soot deposits.

The fault was cured by fitting a new EGR valve, manually cleaning the inlet manifold and EGR pipe with Forté Diesel Intake Cleaner adding Forté Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment to the fuel tank and carrying out an extended Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Problem with a HYUNDAI IX35 2.0 L CRDi 2011 48k

Lack of power and engine running in limp mode due to blocked Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), fault caused by turbo failure and excessive oil in exhaust causing DPF blockage.

The fault was cured by fitting a new turbo, removing the DPF to manually clean using Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation EngineFlush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Problem with a RENAULT MASTER 2.3 L DCi 2012

Lack of power, suspected EGR fault. After further investigation and removing the EGR cooler it was found that the flap on the EGR cooler had broken off, blocking the EGR cooler.

The fault was cured by fitting a new EGR cooler. After the repair it is recommended to use Forté Diesel Intake Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush and adding Forté Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment into the fuel tank to clean the intake, oil and fuel system.

Problem with a VW TRANSPORTER TDi 2010

Lack of power due to engine running in limp mode and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) warning light on. Fault code stored for DPF blockage. Vehicle taken to dealers previously for DPF regeneration and fault returned.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF to manually clean using 2 x Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank.

The vehicle was then returned to the dealer for the DPF to be reset. The dealer also stated that the DPF was in ‘as new’ condition and very clean according to the DPF readings taken.

Problem with a SCANIA P360 2011

Poor heater output and coolant circulation due to corrosion build-up in cooling system, EGR cooler damaged due to poor circulation.

The fault was cured by fitting a new EGR cooler, adding 8 bottles of Forté Bio Degreaser & Cooling System Flush into the cooling system with an estimated cooling system capacity of 70-80 litres.

The vehicle was then run at fast idle for 30-40 minutes at operating temperature and the cooling system drained and refilled with fresh coolant adding 2 bottles of Forté Radiator Stop Leak & Cooling System Conditioner.
