Problem with a SEAT LEON 2.0L TDI 2006 106K

Lack of power, engine management light on and DPF warning light on. Suspect particulate filter blocked.

The fault was cured by adding 2 x Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank and carrying out a 20-mile road test to allow regeneration of the particulate filter. It is also recommended to use Forté Clean & Protect (Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush and Forté Oil System Protectorto clean and maintain the oil system, and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner to the fuel tank to restore spray patterns and combustion efficiency.

Problem with a VAUXHALL ZAFIRA 1.9L CDTI 2009 42K

Lack of power and engine management light on. Fault code stored P242F diesel particulate filter blockage/ash accumulation, suspect particulate filter blocked. The engine oil was also checked which was excessively overfilled due to contamination from diesel fuel.

The fault was cured by using Forté Clean & Protect, 45-minute Forté New Generation Engine Flush adding Forté Oil System Protector to the new oil and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator and Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner added to the fuel tank. The car was then taken for a 20-mile road test at 40-50 mph to allow regeneration of the particulate filter.

Problem with a BMW 325D 3.0L 2007 70K

Diesel Particulate Filter warning light on and lack of power, suspect particulate filter blocked. DPF differential pressure checked, idle 152 mbar, 2,000 rpm 500 mbar, full-throttle 955 bar.

The fault was cured by adding 2 x Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank and carrying out a 20-mile road test, after the road test the DPF differential pressure was rechecked, idle 21 mbar, 2,000 rpm 100 mbar, full-throttle 165 mbar, the recommended limit is 65 mbar for a clean DPF.

Problem with a JAGUAR XJ6 2.7L 2008 45K

Lack of power, fault code stored for DPF fault. Suspect particulate filter blocked.

The fault was cured by adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and 2 x Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank and carrying out a 20-mile road test to allow regeneration of the particulate filter. It is also recommended to use Forté Clean & Protect (Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush and Forté Oil System Protector to clean and maintain the oil system, and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner to the fuel tank to restore spray patterns and combustion efficiency.

Problem with a AUDI A4 2.0L TDI 2008 35K

Lack of power, engine management light on and DPF warning light on, fault code stored for DPF fault. Vehicle check at dealers showing the DPF filter soot loading 126%, recommending a new DPF is fitted.

The fault was cured by adding 2 x Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank and carrying out a 20-30-mile road test at 50-60 mph 2,500 rpm. After the road test, the DPF was rechecked showing the filter soot loading at 18% and lack of power restored.
