The fault was cured by adding 2 x Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank and carrying out a 20-mile road test to allow regeneration of the particulate

Problem with a VAUXHALL ZAFIRA 1.9L CDTI 2009 42K
Lack of power and engine management light on.
Fault code stored P242F diesel particulate filter
blockage/ash accumulation, suspect particulate filter
blocked. The engine oil was also checked which was
excessively overfilled due to contamination from
diesel fuel.
The fault was cured by using Forté Clean & Protect, 45-minute Forté New Generation Engine Flush adding Forté Oil System Protector to the new oil and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator and Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner added to the fuel tank. The car was then taken for a 20-mile road test at 40-50 mph to allow regeneration of the particulate filter.

rpm 500 mbar, full-throttle 955 bar.
The fault was cured by adding 2 x Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank and carrying out a 20-mile road test, after the road test the DPF differential pressure was rechecked, idle 21 mbar, 2,000 rpm 100 mbar, full-throttle 165 mbar, the recommended limit is 65 mbar for a clean DPF.

loading 126%, recommending a new DPF is fitted.
