Problem with a PEUGEOT 206 1.4L

Failing emissions test:

No faults found.

The fault was cured by adding Advanced Formula Gas Treatment. Car then driven by owner for a few days, emissions re-tested and passed:

CO 0.1%
HC 30
Lambda 1.00

Problem with a BMW X5

BMW X5 2004 4.6L 70K

Excessive oil burning 1 litre every 1,000 miles.

The vehicle was treated using Clean & Protect adding 2 x Advanced Formula Motor Flush for 45 minutes and adding 2 x Oil System Protector to the new oil and Advanced Formula Gas Treatment to the fuel tank. The owner monitored the oil level and reported it was now only using 1 litre every 3,000 miles.

Problem with a VAUXHALL CORSA 1.0L

VAUXHALL CORSA 1.0L 1998 76K

Failing emissions test on fast idle and management light coming on intermittently when driven. Fault code stored for oxygen sensor. Airflow meter replaced, oxygen sensor and coolant temperature sensor checked. Fault not cured.

The fault was cured by cleaning the throttle body using Air Intake Cleaner. Emissions restored and passed.

Problem with a CHEVROLET KALOS fault code P0300

CHEVROLET KALOS 2006 33K


Engine misfire, engine management light on. Fault code stored P0300 random/multiple cylinder misfire. New spark plugs, ignition leads, coil pack and injector replaced. Fault not cured.


The fault was cured by spraying Advanced Formula Gas Treatment into the intake system and then carrying out an extended road test.

Problem with a VAUXHALL VECTRA 1.9 CDTi

VAUXHALL VECTRA 1.9 CDTi 2006 78K

Lack of power and glow plug light flashing, vehicle driven until engine management light came on and vehicle cut out. Unable to restart. Fault code stored for Diesel Particulate Filter blockage.

The fault was cured by removing the Diesel Particulate Filter and pouring 3 x bottles of Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment into the DPF filter, soaking overnight then rinsing with hot water and drying with compressed air.

The vehicle was then treated using Clean & Protect, 45 minute Advanced Formula Motor Flush, adding Oil System Protector to the new oil and DPF Cleaner And Regenerator  plus Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment added to the fuel tank.

The car was then taken for an extended road test to allow regeneration of the particulate filter.

Problem with a FORD FIESTA 1.4L TDCi

Induction and top end noisy, suspect fault due to sticking valves/hydraulic valve lifters.

The fault was cured by using Clean & Protect, 45 minute Advanced Formula Motor Flush adding Oil System Protector to the new oil and Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment into the fuel tank.
