Problem with a VAUXHALL ZAFIRA 1.6L 2002

VAUXHALL ZAFIRA 1.6L 2002 68K

Intermittent engine misfire, fault codes stored P0300 random/multiple cylinder misfire, P0302
cylinder 2 misfire, P0304 cylinder 4 misfire. Spark plugs, coil pack and fuel filter replaced fault not cured.

The fault was cured by using Clean & Protect, 45 minute Advanced Formula Motor Flush adding Oil System Protector to the new oil and 2 x Advanced Formula Gas Treatment into the fuel tank and carrying out an extended road test.

Engine misfire. Fuel and ignition systems checked. No faults found.

The fault was cured by adding Specialist Injector Cleaner to the fuel tank and carrying out a 25 mile road test.

Lack of power and engine management light on, fault codes stored for airflow meter and EGR
valve. Airflow meter replaced and EGR valve removed and cleaned, fault not cured and EGR valve
fault code still present.

The fault was cured by replacing the EGR valve.

Problem with a VOLKSWAGEN TOUAREG 2.5L TDi 2007

VOLKSWAGEN TOUAREG 2.5L TDi 2007 45k

Lack of power and excessive blue smoke due to turbo failure. New turbo fitted, intake pipes and
intercooler cleaned. Vehicle still blue smoking excessively.

The fault was cured by using Clean & Protect, adding 2 x Advanced Formula Motor Flush for 1 hour and 30 minutes, adding Oil System Protector to the new oil and 2 x Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment to the fuel tank.

Problem with a CITROEN XSARA PICASSO 2.0L HDi 2003

CITROEN XSARA PICASSO 2.0L HDi 2003 111K

Intermittent non-start and cutting out fault code stored for low fuel pressure. After further investigation the fuel pressure was low when checked and metal filings were found in the fuel filter.

The fault was cured by cleaning the fuel filter housing and replacing the fuel filter and adding Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment into the fuel filter and the fuel tank. The fuel pressure was restored and engine running smoother.

Lack of power and engine management light on, fault code stored P0234 turbo charger overboost condition. Vehicle serviced regularly and used for short stop/start driving, suspected variable vane turbo sticking.

Problem with a BMW 318i 2.0L 2002

BMW 318i 2.0L 2002 89K

Whistling noise from engine, noise stops when oil filler cap removed. Suspect fault due to excessive crankcase pressure.

The fault was caused by a blocked crankcase breather filter located under the inlet manifold. A new breather filter was fitted which cured the fault.

Problem with a RENAULT MEGANE 1.9L DCi 2005

RENAULT MEGANE 1.9L DCi 2005 90k

Warning on display to check Particulate filter, suspect particulate filter blockage. DPF readings
checked on diagnostic machine, DPF differential pressure 13 mbar, soot quantity 10 grams.

The fault was cured by adding DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank and carrying out a
20 mile road test to allow regeneration of the particulate filter. After the road test the DPF warning
went off and the DPF readings were rechecked showing DPF differential pressure 8 mbar, soot
quantity 1 gram. It is also recommended to use Clean & Protect (Advanced Formula Motor Flush and Oil System Protector) to clean and maintain the oil system and adding Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment to the fuel tank to clean and lubricate the fuel system.

Failing emissions test CO 4.68 % HC 1213 Lambda 0.916, no faults found.

The fault was cured by using Clean & Protect, 45 minute Advanced Formula Motor Flush adding Oil System Protector to the new oil, Advanced Formula Gas Treatment into the fuel tank and cleaning the throttle body with Air Intake Cleaner. Emissions retested and passed CO 0.01% HC 9 Lambda 1.00.

Problem with a AUDI TT 2.0L TDi 2008

AUDI TT 2.0L TDi 2008 52k

Lack of power, engine management light, DPF and glow plug lights on, fault code stored for diesel particulate filter soot content to high. DPF checked filter soot loading at 98%, and unable to carry out a forced regeneration.

The fault was cured by using Clean & Protect, 45 minute Advanced Formula Motor Flush adding Oil System Protector to the new oil and DPF Cleaner and Regenerator and Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment added to the fuel tank. The car was then taken for a 1 hour road test at 60 mph 3,000 rpm to allow regeneration of the particulate filter. After the road test the DPF soot loading was reduced to 27%. The owner reported the car had never driven so well.

Lack of power and engine management light on, fault code stored for turbo maximum boost limit exceeded, suspect fault due to sticking variable vanes on turbo.

The fault was cured by adding 2 x Diesel Turbo Cleaner and Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment into the fuel tank and carrying out a 15-20 mile road test the fault was cured and lack of power restored.
