Lack of power and engine management light on, fault code stored P0234 turbo overboost condition.
Suspect fault due to sticking variable vanes on turbo.
The fault was cured by cleaning the intake system with Forté Diesel I.M.V. Cleaner as per instructions, extended Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush carried out and Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté Diesel Turbo Cleaner added into the fuel tank.

Forté's Technical Helpline receives over 300 calls per month. This blog shares solutions for garage workshops on common driveability concerns that can be quickly and effectively treated. The vast majority of those identified are caused by fuel and oil borne contamination formed by natural degradation or via the combustion process. Problem with a TOYOTA COROLLA 2.0L D4-D 2008 155k
Very poor starting, slight misfire from cold and excessive smoke until engine gets hot. The fault was cured by adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner into the fuel tank and carrying out an extended road test.
The customer returned two days later stating the car was now starting as normal with no smoking and the misfire had gone and that he could not believe it!
