Problem with a BMW X3 2.0d 2007 83k

Lack of power and DPF warning light on, fault caused by restricted exhaust gas flow due to DPF blockage. After further investigation the oil was also checked which was thick and heavily contaminated.

The fault was cured by replacing the DPF pressure sensor, adding 2 x Forté New Generation Engine Flush carrying out an extended flush and adding 2 x Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner, 2 x Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the tank. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.

Problem with a AUDI TT 3.2 L V6 QUATTRO 2003 83k

Poor running and noisy timing chain, fault codes stored P0011 inlet camshaft timing solenoid 1 timing over advanced, P0014 exhaust camshaft timing solenoid 1 timing over advanced. Suspect fault due to oil contamination preventing the correct operation of the variable valve timing. The fault was cured by using Clean & Protect, carrying out a 1-hour Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush and adding Forté Oil System Protector to the new oil.

Problem with a VAUXHALL VECTRA

Lack of power and engine management light on. Suspect fault due to variable valve timing sticking.

The fault was cured by removing and cleaning the VVT solenoids, and carrying out a 45-minute Forté New Generation Engine Flush adding Forté Top End Treatment to the new oil and Forté Advanced Formula Gas Treatment to the fuel tank.

Problem with a PORSCHE BOXSTER S 3.2L 2000 60k


Hunting on idle and engine management fault code stored P1341 camshaft adjustment bank 1 VVT. Suspect fault due to sticking variable valve timing.

The fault was cured by carrying out a  one hour Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Top End Treatment to the new oil.

Problem with a NISSAN QASHQAI +2 2011 1.5 DCi 41k

DPF fault and vehicle unable to run due to excessively blocked DPF, fault caused by an air intake system leak preventing regeneration.

The fault was cured by repairing the air leak and removing the DPF to manually clean using Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation Engine Flush, adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner & Regenerator into the fuel tank. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test.

Problem with a VAUXHALL ASTRA 1.4 16v Twinport 2006 89k

Excessive noise from hydraulic valve lifters and timing chain noisy. Suspect fault due to heavily contaminated oil from lack of servicing.

The fault was cured by adding Forté New Generation Engine Flush and flushing the engine for 2 ½ hours and adding Forté Top End Treatment and Forté Oil System Protector to the new oil. The vehicle was taken on an extended road test, the engine noise had gone and the customer was very impressed with the results.

Lack of power due to engine running in limp mode, engine management and DPF warning light on. Fault code stored for DPF blockage, unable to carry out regeneration of DPF due to soot loading.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF to manually clean using Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner & Regenerator into the fuel tank. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test.

Problem with a VAUXHALL ZAFIRA 1.9L CDTi 2007

Poor throttle response and performance. Suspect fault due to contamination build-up in the intake system. 

The fault was cured by cleaning the intake system using the Forté Power-Clean Diesel Intake Cleaner and carrying out an extended road test. After the road test, the throttle response and performance were restored.

Lack of power and DPF warning light on, DPF blocked due to short journeys. 

The fault was cured by cleaning the DPF using the Forté Power-Clean DPF Cleaner and Forté DPF Flush, carrying out an extended road test and resetting the DPF fault codes.

Problem with a SAAB 9-3 1.9L TiD 2005 120k

Poor running, hunting on idle and cutting out, suspect fault due to contaminated injectors. 

The fault was cured by cleaning the injectors for 20 minutes using the Forté Power-Clean Diesel Injection Cleaner. After only 10 minutes cleaning the engine was idling perfectly.

Problem with a MERCEDES E320 3.0L CDi 2006

Engine management light on and lack of power, fault code stored for turbo boost condition. 

The fault was cured by cleaning the turbo using the Forté Power-CleanDiesel Turbo Cleaner and carrying out an extended road test. The owner also reported a few weeks later that the turbo was working fine, and the fault had not returned.
