Lack of power due to engine running in limp mode, engine management
and DPF warning light on. Oil level checked and over maximum due to fuel
dilution, suspect DPF heavily blocked.
The fault was cured by removing
the DPF to manually clean using Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions,
cleaning the intake system with Forté Diesel Intake Cleaner as per
instructions and carrying out an extended Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush
and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner & Regenerator into the fuel tank.
The vehicle was then taken on an
extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.
