Problem with a NISSAN MICRA 1.0L

NISSAN MICRA 1.0L 2001 236K

Driving instructor's vehicle, failing emissions test CO at 9.0%. No fault codes stored or faults found.

The fault was cured by adding Advanced Formula Gas Treatment to the fuel tank and carrying out a spirited road test. Emissions re-tested and passed CO at 0.3%.

Problem with a LEXUS RX-300 3.0L

LEXUS RX-300 3.0L 2001 110K

Excessive oil burning, 1 litre every 200 miles. Suspect oil burning due to bore lacquering and sticking piston rings.

The fault was cured by using Clean & Protect, adding 2 x Advanced Formula Motor Flush for 45 minutes, Oil System Protector added to the new oil and Advanced Formula Gas Treatment to the fuel tank. The oil level was monitored and after a week showed no loss of oil.

Problem with a MAZDA 6 2.0L

MAZDA 6 2.0L 2008 66K

Diesel Particulate Filter warning light flashing and fault code stored P2459 DPF number of regeneration cycles too high.

The fault was cured by using Clean & Protect, 45 minute Advanced Formula Motor Flush adding Oil System Protector to the new oil and adding DPF Cleaner and Regenerator plus Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment to the fuel tank. The car was then taken for a 10-20 minutes road test at 40-50 mph to allow regeneration of the particulate filter.

Problem with a VOLKSWAGEN TOURAN 1.6L FSI

VOLKSWAGEN TOURAN 1.6L FSI 2004 111k

Oil pressure warning light on when running on idle. The oil pressure was tested showing 0.2 bar on idle. The minimum pressure required to prevent the oil warning light coming on was 0.3 bar.

The fault was cured by carrying out a 45 minute Advanced Formula Motor Flush adding Oil Fortifier to the new oil. The oil warning light went off and the pressure was re-checked, which increased to 0.4 bar on idle. The oil pressure also increased  through the rev range and the engine was running smoother.

Problem with a JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 2.7

JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 2.7 CRD

Excessive carbon deposits around all injectors and injector wiring due to failure of injector copper washer seals. The fault is caused by contaminated injectors causing an excessive increase in combustion pressure.

The fault was cured by using Air Intake Cleaner to soak into and soften the carbon deposits to remove the injectors and wiring; replacing the injector copper washer seals and adding Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment to the fuel tank to clean the fuel system and restore the injector spray patterns.

Problem with a SEAT LEON 2.0L TDi

SEAT LEON 2.0L TDi 2006 106k

Lack of power, engine management light on and DPF warning light on. Suspect particulate filter blocked.

The fault was cured by adding 2 x DPF Cleaner & Regenerator into the fuel tank and carrying out a 20 mile road test to allow regeneration of the particulate filter. It is also recommended to use Clean & Protect to clean and maintain the oil system and adding Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment to the fuel tank to clean and lubricate the fuel system.

Problem with a RENAULT MEGANE 1.9 DCi

RENAULT MEGANE 1.9 DCi 2005 20k

Excessive smoke from exhaust and smoke from oil filler cap due to high crankcase pressure,
engine also burning oil. Suspect fault due to bore lacquering and sticking piston rings.

The fault was cured by using Clean & Protect, adding 2 x Advanced Formula Motor Flush for 1-2 hours, Oil System Protector added to the new oil and Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment to the fuel tank and carrying out an extended road test.
