Problem with a BMW 520D 2.0L 2007 169k

Engine management light on and lack of power, fault codes stored for glow plugs, throttle body and DPF blockage. New DPF and catalytic converter fitted a few months previously.

The fault was cured by fitting a new throttle body and glow plugs, removing the DPF and manually cleaning with 4 x Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions and cleaning the intake system with Forté Diesel Intake Cleaner. The oil system was also cleaned using Forté New Generation Engine Flush and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner & Regenerator into the fuel tank. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test with the vehicle performance restored.

Problem with a VAUXHALL VIVARO 137k

No obvious issues but seemed a little down on power.

Van ran on a dyno test producing 109 bhp (expected level 115 bhp).
Forté Power-Clean Diesel Intake Cleaner carried out for 40 minutes.

After road test the vehicle appeared a lot more responsive, more torque in higher gears and no turbo lag under acceleration. Repeating the dyno test 116 bhp was recorded.

Problem with a BMW 325d M57

Lack of power due to DPF blockage. Pressure values measured before treatment.

Forté Power-Clean DPF treatments carried out, measured values after treatment.

DPF soot load reduced and power restored. Test results shown below.
