Problem with a NISSAN X-TRAIL 2.0L

NISSAN X-TRAIL 2.0L 2003 90K

Excessive oil burning, 2 litres every month and high emissions. Suspect oil burning due to bore
lacquering and sticking piston rings.

The fault was cured by using Clean & Protect, 45 minute Advanced Formula Motor Flush carried out adding Oil System Protector to the new oil and adding Advanced Formula Gas Treatment to the fuel tank. The emissions were restored and the owner reported the oil burning had stopped.

Problem with a SKODA FABIA 2001 1.4L

SKODA FABIA 2001 1.4L 16V

Engine management light on and engine hunting on fast idle.

Fault codes stored P1553 map sensor fault, P1151 bank 1 long term fuel trim. Map sensor, front oxygen sensor, coolant temperature sensor replaced, throttle body cleaned and reset and valve timing checked, fault not cured and fault codes still present. Emission checked and excessively high on fast idle CO 7.57% HC 1650 lambda 0.750.

The fault was caused by a faulty EVAP unit, modified EVAP unit fitted, fault cured.

Problem with a VOLKSWAGEN LUPO 1.4L

VOLKSWAGEN LUPO 1.4L 16V 1999 85K

Excessive oil burning, suspect oil burning due to bore lacquering and sticking piston rings.

The fault was cured by using Clean & Protect, 1 hour Advanced Formula Motor Flush adding Oil System Protector to the new oil, Advanced Formula Gas Treatment to the fuel tank and carrying out an extended road test.

Problem with a CITROEN BERLINGO 1.6L

Oil pressure warning light on, “Stop” light flashing and beeping noise.

Oil level checked showing the correct oil level.

The fault was cured by using Clean & Protect, 15 minute Advanced Formula Motor Flush adding Oil System Protector to the new oil.

Problem with a FORD TRANSIT TDCi

FORD TRANSIT TDCi

Poor running and lack of power, fault code stored for EGR valve.

The fault was cured by removing and cleaning the EGR valve with Air Intake Cleaner and adding 2 x Advanced Formula Diesel Treatment to the fuel tank.

Long road test carried out and management light reset.

Failing emissions test on fast idle CO 0.6%, no air leaks found or fault codes stored.

The fault was cured by adding Advanced Formula Gas Treatment to the fuel tank and carrying out a long road test.

Problem with a PEUGEOT 206 1.1L

PEUGEOT 206 1.1L 2004

Engine misfire and management light on, fault code stored for cylinder misfire. Coil pack, spark plugs, injectors and fuel pressure regulator replaced, fault not cured. Suspect fault due to sticking valves.

The fault was cured by adding Advanced Formula Gas Treatment into the fuel tank and carrying out an extended road test.

Problem with a VAUXHALL CORSA 1.0L

VAUXHALL CORSA 1.0L 1998 76K

Failing emissions test on fast idle and management light coming on intermittently when driven, fault code stored for oxygen sensor. Airflow meter replaced, oxygen sensor and coolant temperature sensor checked fault not cured.

The fault was cured by cleaning the throttle body using Air Intake Cleaner, emissions restored and passed.
