Lack of power, engine management light on and
DPF warning light on, fault code stored for DPF fault.
Vehicle check at dealers showing the DPF filter soot
loading 126%, recommending a new DPF is fitted.
The fault was cured by adding 2 x Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank and carrying out a 20-30-mile road test at 50-60 mph 2,500 rpm. After the
road test, the DPF was rechecked showing the filter
soot loading at 18% and lack of power restored.
