Lack of power due to excessively blocked Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Diagnostic check
carried out showed 210% soot loading in the DPF.
The fault was cured by
removing the DPF to manually clean using 2 x Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per
instructions and adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator into the fuel tank.
The DPF was then
regenerated and reset using diagnostic equipment and taken on an
extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.
