Lack of power and engine management light (EML) on due to blocked diesel particulate filter (DPF), fault caused by a
faulty EGR valve preventing regeneration of DPF.
The fault was cured by
fitting a new EGR valve and removing the DPF to manually clean using 2 x
Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions. The vehicle was then taken on
an extended road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.
