Lack of power and engine running in limp mode due to blocked Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). The
fault was found to be caused by a split vacuum pipe preventing
regeneration.
The fault was cured by replacing the split vacuum pipe and
removing the DPF to manually clean using Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per
instructions, carrying out an extended Forté Advanced Formula Motor Flush and
adding Forté Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and Forté DPF Cleaner & Regenerator into the fuel tank. The vehicle was taken on an extended
road test with the vehicle power and performance restored.
